Barcroft Media announces Sky Q content deal

Boom! client Barcroft Media and Sky announce agreement that sees Barcroft Media’s short form video content available on Sky Q.

Boom! client and leading popular factual content producer and distributor Barcroft Media and Sky, Europe’s leading entertainment company today announce an agreement that sees Barcroft Media’s short form video content available on Sky Q, the next-generation home entertainment system.

In the company’s first major OTT content deal with a UK broadcast platform, 400 new and classic Barcroft Media-produced short form popular factual films, depicting ‘the amazing side of life’ will be available to viewers on the new Sky Q box.

Barcroft Media produces and distributes at least five factual mini-docs per week in a news format that regularly sets the popular agenda through social media and creates headlines in news outlets around the world.

The films will span a number of different subject areas including Natural World and Animals, Heart Warmers and Adventure Sport.
