Cherryduck appointed by Rodial in YouTube docu-series

Boom! client Cherryduck has been appointed by celebrity favourite skincare brand Rodial to create Project Runway style docu-series.

Boom! client Cherryduck, the branded content production company, has been appointed by celebrity favourite skincare brand Rodial with a brief to create a Project Runway style docu-series for the ‘Mrs Rodial’ YouTube channel and social media channels.

Cherryduck created an eight episode series of two minute videos following the Rodial Art & Design Challenge, a competition in which twenty five second year BA students from London’s leading design university were tasked with a project to design a bespoke case for Rodial make up brushes. The films follow the students as they battle to impress competition judges including Mrs Rodial herself, Maria Hatzistefanis, along with fashion designer Henry Holland and supermodel Erin O’Connor. The Mrs Rodial Project is like no other show as the high-stakes episodes take viewers on a rollercoaster of emotions as the finalists seal their fate to secure their position as the winner of the challenge.

“More and more people are moving to YouTube for their daily entertainment fix. This brief was all about taking a TV entertainment/reality show genre and adapting it for a YouTube audience. The docu-series has the production value and familiarity of a TV series but keeps the edit snappy, to the point whilst staying true to the Rodial brand”

— Rebecca Gower, Series Director at Cherryduck.

The series will be streamed exclusively on the Mrs Rodial YouTube channel along with additional content featured on InstagramFacebook and Twitter.

Filmed on location and at Tower Bridge Studios and directed by Cherryduck’s Rebecca Gower, the series was co-written by Maria Hatzistefanis and Rebecca.

Cherryduck’s diverse experience in the fashion and beauty industry enables the company to produce results-driven content through commercials, live streaming and events coverage.
