Boom! client Icon Films today announces the appointment of Jonny Young as Head of Specialist Factual.

Jonny is an award-winning producer with a strong track record of factual commissions and productions for a range of national and international broadcasters including BBC, Discovery, Channel 5 and Channel 4.

Formerly a Series Producer with the BBC specialising in documentaries and natural history production, Jonny set up his own production company Oblong Films in 2010. Oblong Films’ production credits include ‘The Naked Rambler’ (BBC One), ‘Millionaire Boy Racers’ (Channel 4), ‘Britain’s Youngest Undertaker’ (BBC Three)and ‘Prom Queen Divas’ (Channel 5).

Reporting to Icon Film’s Creative Director Harry Marshall, Jonny is tasked with a remit to create a strong slate of programming for the UK and international market that complements and builds on Icon Films’ existing output.
