Midnight Oil Productions appoints Boom!

Leading UK independent production company Midnight Oil Productions has appointed Boom! with a PR brief to build their corporate profile.

Midnight Oil has appointed us to raise corporate awareness in an international B2B brief. We are charged with raising their profile and gaining wider recognition in the broadcast and production field ahead of the global industry’s distribution and content market, MIPTV.

Midnight Oil boasts an impressive production record in just two years since its inception. The company has produced shows for PBS, WGBH, BBC America, BBC Worldwide and UKTV. Recent productions include ‘The Doctors Revisited’, Unlocking Sherlock’ and ‘Doctor Who in the US’.

CEO and founder, Gillane Seaborne, leads the company. Formerly a series producer at the BBC, Gillane oversaw all six series of ‘Doctor Who Confidential’, BBC Three’s highest rated factual show. She’s worked alongside Michael Parkinson and fashion designer Paul Smith in the BBC’s documentary unit and was the lead director of the team that produced BAFTA award winning children’s show, ‘Teletubbies‘.

Gillane Seaborne said: “We hope to build on the success of the past two years by expanding our commissioning base, increasing our range of content and diversifying into other areas of production. We are delighted to appoint Boom! as our first PR agency at this exciting time in our development”.

“We are pleased to add such a talented young company as Midnight Oil to our growing UK independent TV production company roster” said Justin Crosby, founder of Boom! “We look forward to bringing them the profile they deserve”.

Amongst Boom!’s client list is Andrew Neil’s TV production company World Media Rights, ‘Troy’ producer Zig Zag Productions and Barcroft Productions, producer of ‘Body Bizarre 2’ and ‘Preposterous Pets’ and curator of global YouTube news channel, Barcroft TV.
