News: TV PR for Scam City

We were recently appointed to handle the PR for a new show on the UK’s National Geographic Channel. We had just under 2 weeks from appointment to broadcast to deliver some results. The show – Scam City – features host Conor Woodman who travels the world to expose the most common and intriguing tourist scam;

Campaigns: Scam City launch

Objectives: Drive awareness and build audience for new Scam City TV series on Nat Geographic Channel

Strategy: Focus on travel and national news media to take show to wider audience outside TV listings. Leverage programme talent, Conor Woodman to expand on his scam experiences and bring human interest/ consumer affairs element to the story

Results: Double page spread features in The Sun, Daily Telegraph and TNT Magazine in week of broadcast. Other significant features in MSN Travel, Zoo Today, Sabotage Times, full page in Sunday Mercury and Telegraph Online. 6-minute appearance on Sky News on day of broadcast. Scheduled appearance on Ireland’s Late Late Show
