Pernel Media is a creative and diverse independent TV production company founded by Samuel Kissous in 2009. Headquartered in Paris, the business creates and produces original factual and entertainment formats for the global content market. Recent Pernel Media productions for both French and international broadcasters include ‘4 Babies a Second’ for National Geographic Channels International and the scripted comedy ‘My Fridge Told Me’ for Group TF1. Pernel Media has created programmes across a wide range of genres including factual entertainment, game shows, entertainment, specialist factual and scripted for most French broadcasters. In 2011, the company launched Pernel Doc, a division dedicated to documentary production.
Pernel Media are also experts in collaborating with producers and distributors from around the world, adapting international formats for the French broadcast market. Recent successful format adaptations include ‘Great British Menu’ for TF1, ‘Cash Cab’ for W9, ‘Dinner Date’ for Direct 8, ‘Most Identical’ for M6 and ‘Balls of Steel’ for France TV.
