Insight TV, content creator Spark Content and Kestrel Beer today announced their collaboration on a new and exclusive brand-funded short form TV series and documentary film – ‘The Flying Kestrel’.
To be broadcast from March 2021 across Insight TV’s linear and digital networks to over 315 million homes around the world, ‘The Flying Kestrel’ is being broadcast as a 4 x 11’ short form series and 1 x 44’ documentary.
The series follows the epic journey of Nigel McNally CEO of Kestrel Beer, his son Joel and the Webster Race Engineering team, as they discover and daringly transform a dilapidated 1930s Riley Kestrel classic, into a land speed record challenger.
Beautifully restored, complete with its original 1935 wooden body, steering wheel and mahogany dashboard, the Flying Kestrel has been boosted with a precision race turbo 2.5 litre, 5-cylinder engine capable of 900bhp.
“The Flying Kestrel’s story of “blood, sweat and beers” unfolds with every episode and reveals the twists and turns both car and crew take in their quest to realize their dreams,” explained Arun Maljaars, Insight TV’s Vice President of Content and Channels.
Executive Producers of ‘The Flying Kestrel’ are Marc Hayward, Kristen Broberg and Arun Maljaars.
